Hood scoop

I think the hood scoop is more of a styling exercise as the air to the
cooling system is through the grill and the deflector at the bottom of
the radiator, however any fresh cool air into the engine is beneficial
to performance. (ie check how race cars use ram air  with ducts to the
outside)  Cool air is denser and fills the cylinders better.
