Hi Ian,

I bought one and installed it myself.  It took me about 1/2 day.
It was not a perfect fit but Dean told me they are better now.
I told him that even with the small flaw in size, I'd pay $59.00
again in a heartbeat.

They are made out of black plastic that has been vac-u-formed, I
think.  There is no need to cover it with anything, but you should
fill it with some kind of foam rubber.  The hardest part of the
installation is the removal of the windshield and its frame.
