DemonT fuel problem

It sounds like you are sucking something over the fuel pickup in the
tank, when the car idles it's filling the float bowls and glass strainer
but when you drive it's sucking harder and shuting it off untill the
bowls go empty.  I saw this once on an old jeep that someone had
dropped  the cap from a gas can into the tank.  Hope this helps.  Bill
