Got a quote on shipping from LA to San Antonio 2 years ago.  It was 
around $400.  I don't know how well protected the trailers are.  I still 
have some LA phone books if you need some #s for folks at that end. Ended 
up driving my roadster, cost about $75 in gas this past october.
