A good 50-series 14" tire is hard (or impossible) to find, but a search of
Tire Rack turned up several 195/55-14's:
Bridgestone Potenza RE-71 - $68
Dunlop SP Sport 8000 - $70
Dunlop SP Sport D40 2 - $73
Hoosier R3S03 (autocross) - $133 (and you thought those others were spendy!)
Kuhmo VictoRacer V700 (autocross) - $95
And if you really want sticky (and pricey), here are the 205/55-14's:
Yokohama AVS Intermediate - $116
Kuhmo VictoRacer V700 (autocross) - $105
Hoosier R3S03 (autocross) - $145
BF Goodrich g-Force T/A R1 - $145
The guys who run Sentra SE-R's in Stock class Solo II use 205/55-14's on
stock 5.5" rims.
