Hmm, talk of twisting shafts reminds me of something I learned so long ago that I don't consciously know it any more: Never put the return spring on the other end of the throttle shaft from the actuating lever - it twists the shaft ever so slightly and causes pickup problems (at least). Could be that someone did that to your carb in a past life? Or did you already say that you've changed out to a new throttle shaft? |
