Phillipe - the earleir Rover engines had a short dist shaft and a longer
oil pump shaft, sometime around the mid to late seventies they changed
the oil pump gear to a longer one, shortened the oil pump shaft and
changed the distributor. I have an eighties era EFI engine, I have
removed the EFI stuff from the manifold. If any of this is of use to you,
or to anyone else for that matter, it can be had for the cost of postage.
