Yes, as far as I can tell, they are all the same diff and of equal strength
(just different gearing). I looked through my "all models" SD1 manual and
it only showed the one.

Quaife limited slip conversions are available from a couple of suppliers.

Sorry, I am not sure... I understand that it is about 2" wider than the TR8
/ late TR7 axle (basically the same rear-end, except with 4-link and no
watts).

I have yet to change mine, but the pic im my manual looks like they are
ball-bearings in a housing.
