Trash the cover, use one from a 215 Buick or Olds, use the GM harmonic
balancer. This allows the use of pullies, not having to machine a groove in the
Rover balancer, allows the use of a GM distributer, shortens the engine.
Aftermarket covers are also available with high volume oil pumps built in. Use
a Buick 300 (V-8) water pump, big block Chevy water pump pulley. A neoprene
front seal is available for the old covers that originally used a rope seal.
