Here in Hawaii, T.V. coverage of enthusiast-level auto racing is
non-existent. NASCAR, trucks, moto-cross and drag racing get some coverage
due to their broader popularity, but the kinds of racing I want to see is
very rare.
My primary goal is to watch every F1 race this season, reported by a team
that goes into the people, politics, and behind-the-scenes action. Is such
a show available anywhere in the U.S.?
Second choice would be sports-prototype racing, and here I know nothing
about series or teams. Back when I used to follow this it was Can-Am, and
a designer named Jim Hall from Texas got a lot of attention when his
Chaparral cars sprouted wings.

One more question. Kids here love to fix up little Hondas and zip around
on the freeway -- a lot like what my friends and I did with our MGs and
TRs and VWs back when I was that age. Is there a series that these kids
can look to as fans? NASCAR has no relevance to these kids, any more than
Grand National did to me.
