This will not work, though it may feel rather satisfactory. I'm grasping at
straws here, and none of the following would probably, in and of itself,
prevent a car from firing, so don't be too disappointed when you find these
are already accounted for:
1) Bad ground strap to engine?
2) Bad condensor or low tension lead in distributor?
3) Exhaust blockage of some sort?
4) Incredibly bad seal or blockage at head/intake union?
5) Wrong distributor for engine?
