The Spitfire brake valve you speak of is the PDWA.  That is, Pressure 
Differential Warning Actuator.  I believe the O-rings are the round type, 
just flattened off over the years of constant compression.  If the 
obvious mail-order sources don't list a PDWA rebuild/reseal kit, do take 
the piston out and go to your local auto parts supplier and see if they 
have anything of the correct size. 
        The seals you buy locally should have a higher chemical 
resistance than the originals.
