For those of you in the Boston area.
Today I was picking up my BAM (Big American Monster '79 Buick
Estate Wagon) from my mechanic, and when he found out that I had a TR he
mentioned that he had one he was going to get rid of.
It is a 1980 TR7, British Racing Green, with a removable hardtop
that appears to be a different color (aftermarket maybe). It has a blown
head gasket and a bad hit to the passenger door which will require at
least a new door and sill. The car belongs to a customer of his. They
had him tow it up from Conn where it died, and then promptly
disappeared. They owe over $300 already on the tow, and have failed to
return any of his calls for over 3 months. He just wants to get rid of
the thing. I know nothing else about the car, nor do I know the legal
implications regarding transfer of title. I just know he wants to dump
the thing soon. If you are interested, here is his info:

By the way, the car is outside on the lot if you want to do a
drive-by and take a look at it. Broadway is just off of, and parellel to
Mass Ave in Arlington near the Cambridge line.
