The Fram PH966B is the standard filter for a 1275 Midget with a stock
spin on oil filter set up. I've got a couple that I bought a while
back when K-Mart cleaned out their warehouse. On the box is a cross
reference to other brands with part numbers. I'll look it up and post
the whole list. Maybe that will help.

I once had an Austin-Healey 3000 on which I put a spin-on filter
adapter from Moss Motors (with which I was very happy, by the way).
However, because that car had been in several accidents before I got
it, some of the sheet metal was "moved" such that the standard filter
Moss used would not fit (it was a little too long). I simply took
the filter they recommended and matched the rubber O-ring to another,
shorter filter. It seemed to me that there were only a few "generic"
bases for oil filters. I actually found several from which I could
choose, all of which would have fit. Once you find a filter that
crosses to the PH966B, you might be able to identify another that
has the same threads and O-ring and will physically fit in the space
allowed and which might be more available.
