=========================     LUCAS                    =======================

  Well, thanks to the mighty _Lucas Master Catalogue_, 1945-60,
  part number 400E, I have been able to track many of the numbers
  listed by Marcel Chichak. The list follows (sorry you'll
  probably read this twice, Marcel!):

  L596 -- rear red plastic lens, fits Riley One-and-One-Half - 58-
  60; others?

  L484 -- rear red glass lens c/w chrome & rubber, fits Hillman
  Minx Mgnf. - 48; Minx - 49-53; Commer van - same time period;
  others?

  L630 -- clear plastic lens, fits Austin A55 Mk. II - 59-60;
  Morris Oxford Series V - 59-60; others?

  The above are LAMP numbers, NOT lens part numbers.

  #573615 -- pair glass, frosted white lenses, fit LAMP L516 (a
  free-standing side lamp), which is found on Austin A35 - 57-59;
  A90, A95, A105 - 57; others?

  #400150 -- distributor weight, fits many of the DKY4A and DKYH4A
  distributors, such as those fitted to the Sunbeam-Talbot 10 and
  the 1946-48 Triumph 1800; also models of Jaguar, Riley, Lea-
  Francis.

  #420537 -- vacuum advance, fits model DM2P4 distributors such as
  40427B/D, 40427F.

  #72592K -- wheel box, fits vehicles such as Landrover (Lucas
  spelling, not mine) Station Wagon  - 48-51; Rover 60, 75, 90 &
  105 - 48-49; Riley One-and-One-Half - 50-55. Has 3.25 inch
  spindle!

  MODEL 42SA -- signal lever with horn push cross-references to
  Lucas part numbers 31633, 31755, 31756. I don't at this point
  know what they would fit.

  Some of the other Lucas numbers may be newer than my 1945-60
  catalog would show. I'll provide more information if/when I come
  across it. [My two-year-old son seemed to think playing with him
  was FAR more important than playing librarian with old, musty
  catalogs! He just might be onto something! ;-) ]

  Andy Mace, BA, MLS, LBC's, L.S.M.F.T.

  Disclaimer: as with many things British, YPNMV (your part
  numbers may vary)
