re:movie cars

        I remeber a Lotus add where thyey said a movie director drove one
of their cars (an Esprit?)  off a cliff 4 times hoping it would breack
apart and it never did he finaly beat it apart and threw the whole mess
over the edge.  Does anyone rember this and do you thjink it was true.  It
was in an add so I would asume not but why should Lotus needed to lie ?)
