Hi,
A TR6 friend had an unfortunate spin/semi-roll in his TR6 last weekend. A
result of this was that he bent two of his stock TR6 rims. Well, we _were_
at the Roadster Factory Party '93, so a quick conversation with Charles
Runyan, and my friend had a new set of Panasport mags. (All was not bad
WRT the spin ;-).) At the Party Discount too! and no shipping!
At any rate, we noticed a small clearance problem between the upper A-arm and
the inside of the rim. If you use "normal" wheel weights, when the wheel is
turned full-lock, the wheel weights actually hit the upper a-arm. This is
not the behavior that we imagined!
Do any of you TR6 owners want to offer some advice about this? We can think
of several possible solutions:
1. use "stick-on" wheel weights located on the inside of the rim.
2. grind the upper a-arm to get a bit of clearance.
3. add a small wheel spacer.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
