I've got an '80 Spitfire.
I just finished rebuilding my clutch & brake master cylinders. While
I had them off the car, I ground off the old paint & rust on that
area of the bulkhead, primed & painted... I also painted the
mounting brackets and spiffed up the boots. It's all together now
and looks GREAT!
Problem: I went to bleed the clutch, and found that (1) the stupid
slave cylinder is located on the bellhousing where it's virtually
inaccessible, (2) there's plenty of rust around there, and the bleed
screw is STUCK, (3) due to the rust, the slave doesn't want to move
after I loosen the bolt that's holding it in.
How do I get better access to this "bleeding" screw? (sorry, couldn't
resist) Do I have to remove the carpet and transmission tunnel? Or
is there some magic wrench/tool that would make this an easy task?
Thanks again for the continuing help!
Eric
