It's me again, working on the you-know-what.

I finally got around to pulling off the rear wheels, ostensibly to re-
undercoat the wheel wells after the steam cleaning, but moreso just to
have a look around. Potentially another 22-year-old system in original
condition (i.e. worn out).

The result: drums are OK, though neither was held in by the usual two
retaining screws, ahem!! Shoes look OK but I'm replacing them anyway.
Left hub is fine, but the right hub has more play than it should.

I've read the Bentley re this adjustment. Looks like all I need to do
is hold the thing somehow and turn the moby adjuster and locknuts. Seems
straightforward. So...

Has anyone does this job themself? Recommended or not? Has anyone had a
shop do it? How much did they want?

Why does the whole half-shaft assembly have to be removed? Why can't
the adjustment be made on the car?
