There's this Monty Python sketch in which Eric Idle plays a counterman for an airline called The Verrifast Plaine Co, Ltd. In it, a customer asks him how long a flight to America will take. He tells her, and she responds "Oooh, is it a jet?" To which he replies, "It's not so much a jet, it's more a sort of Triumph Herald engine with wings." Could he possibly be describing the original Spitfire? :-) |
