I've been running Bosch Platinums in the Europa for ~2 years. They
don't seem to disagree with the ignition system. (Of course, it's a
Dulcier ignition system, not Lucas... .)
I suspect the Platinums are not very happy in, er, excessively oily
environments though. I ran them in the Plymouth for a year or so, and
they fouled rather quickly. Worse, the Plymouth doesn't even use much
oil: only what leaks down past the the valve stems when it's shut off.
(Great for producing large, embarrassing clouds of blue smoke after it's
been sitting for a couple of days.)
