Do you have an oiler cooler?  That should help with the overheating
problem also.  It sounds like something is blocked or not working. 
How's your timing, I think if it's not right you may experience an
overheating problem.  My '73 has kept its cool just fine with a 195
degree thermostat and plastic fan.  It usually goes up almost to the N
on warm days.


Everyone,

While we're talking about MGB tech stuff I have a question.  I recently
removed my carpeting and found a small bundle of wires popping up
through the floor under the passenger's seat.  They didn't connect to
anything.  Can anyone save me the endless perusing of the wiring
diagram and tell me what they are for?

I know they are not for the seatbelt warning system, those wires are
back further, these are centered under the seat.  There were 2 or 3
wires.  I don't remember the colors but I think one was brown/orange
and another was green with a stripe.
