It depends upon whether you mean good for rebuilding or good to keep using.
If you want to know if it is good enough to rebuild you will need to take
a good look at the rim and hub. If ether is bad, its cheaper to buy new
ones than have them rebuilt with new hub or rim. Cracks or creases in the
rim are reason for offing the wheel. To check the hub, you will need to
have the wheel off the car and the splines drgreased. Now, the inside of the
opps forget the front end of the sentence. I'll start again.
The splines of the wheel hub are longer than the splines on the axle hub.
The inside inch or so of the hub splines sit behind the hub splines and do
not wear. So ... you need to compare the inside inch or so of the hub splines
with the rest of the splines. If there is a lot of wear (spline tops worn off,
one side badly worn making the spline point offset), off the wheel & get a
new one. If the splines show little or no wear and the rim looks good keep,
or purchase the wheel.
To decide if a wheel needs rebuilding, look to see if all the spokes are OK,
then jack up the wheel, and give it a spin. Ignore the tyre. The rim should
not wobble side to side or up and down. You can live with a little,
but if its a lot, get thy tyres down to British Wire wheel in Aptos.
This takes a week or more. Most of the time is spent soaking the rim in goop
to remove the paint & road tar so the spokes can be tightened/ lossened.
