OK, hope those of you not interested in these "fiddly bits" will bear
with me one last time :-)
I pulled out an O2 sensor last night. It was coated with a white oxide
coating which reminded me of what the inside of a tailpipe looks like
after a long drive. I could scrape it off with my fingernail so maybe
it got inside the sensor (and on the platinum coating). Very weird.
The wire out the back looks just fine. Guess I'll buy a new sensor and
see what happens. Oh, one more thing... Radio Shack DOES carry an LED
array similar to the one used in the air/fuel meter but it has all red LEDs.
They didn't stock the driver chip.
