Hi,
I went the the "Budweiser World of Wheels" in Boston this past weekend. Anyone
on the list that has ever been to one of these can probably guess that there
was
not very much British engineering present. It is more a less a show dedicated
to
the Street Rod and Drag Racing crowd. There were _THREE_ leather jacket vendors!
However, to my surprise, there were two notable examples of fine British
craftmanship. One was a beautiful Jaguar XJ6-C, complete with Weber shod 4.2l
DOHC power. Looked like a really nice Jaguar. The other was a bit less
traditional, in the British sense, a 1948 Anglia powered by a supercharged
chevy
small block engine! I'll bet it could run the 1/4 mile in a hurry, but I would
not want to autocross with it.
Oh well, I can't wait until the weather turns around and I can get the TR back
on the road.
