Well I thought I would try posting this again, as I got no replies the
first time and I'm not sure it made it out the first time. The mailing
system here at IBM is not what it could be. If it doesn't do 3270 it's not
a network to these folks. Although they are getting better. They still
claim that token-ring is a network. You talk ethernet to these folks and
they give you strange looks, next I expect to see MACs everywhere now that
they decided to sleep with those folks.
Seein' how I'm not going to be driven my "B" till the Doc says it's ok
it looks like it stay parked for a while, maybe a long while. I thought
I would go ahead and do as much as physically possible for me to do.
By the way in case you are wondering why it is parked, this has not been
a good year for medical purposes. I'm having orthopedic surgery done on
both knees, seems that trick knees and baseball don't mix. So the Doc says
that I can't drive my "B" until after the surgery and my knees heal :(
(sniff, sniff). He don't want me to do anything too strenuous. So the
"B" may get parked for the winter, I may be looking for some alternitive
transportation method. Like something without a clutch :|(yuck) It looks
like a good time to buy a national vehicle of Texas (a pickup truck).
So on with the questions...
Question 1, how does one tell whether or not the wishbone pivot is bent?
While installing my ne A-arm bushings and putting the wishbone back together
I noticed and had trouble fitting it together. The wishbone pan where
the coil spring sit's and the rear portion of the wishbone would not
mate correctly. So I partially disassemble the rest of the wishbone assembly
and pieced it together that way.
Question 2, if indeed it is bent is there serious implications? Like will
the front end align correctly? Will there be undo stress, strain, and wear
on the kingpin?
Thanx in advance for your responses :)
Bruce...
Definitely not toolin in my MG :(
