| Just for reference, in a mixup in my garage I discovered that the starter
| motors on the Triumph 6 engine is identical to the A series starter motors
| with the exception of an almost identical but smaller mounting face plate
| on the A series one.
Many lucas starters ond generaters that look interchangable, actually have
different windings, so the are not the same in torque output or amperage.
often times rebuilt starters and generators are treated as interchangable
although their performance may be marginal in some applications.|
