There are 3 distinct models of Rover saloon using the Buick derived 3.5 V8

P5A - a big saloon, made with the V8 from late 60s to early 80s. 4-door saloon
and lovely 2-door coupe. These have acres of leather and wood and are the last
traditional Rover. Highly recommended,

P6 - the 60s and early 70s Rover 2000 with the V8 in, modern for its time,
fast, safe, comes in Auto 3500 and manual 3500S.

SD1 - the one you saw advertised. The least attractive IMHO, rust like *****.
Fast, especially the Vitesse model which gives a very good price/performance
deal as a secondhand car.
