So why do we choose the numbers we choose? When I went to watch the dirt
track races in Alb. NM, this beautiful Coors-Light sponsored wedge car
showed up, number 111. It was real nice looking, and I liked the number.
When I started autocrossing, I became #111. When I moved to the bay area,
lo and behold # 111 was taken! Since I had all these 1's hanging around,
I asked about #11, and it was free.
So I've been #11 ever since, and now am rather emotionally attached to the
number. I guess it's only meaning is my finishing position for much of
the beginning of last year.. :-(
