In trying to get the adjustments correct on the Edelbrock 1406 I decided to
replace the EGR valve and vacuum hoses. I removed it (which required the
purchase of a stubby 1/2 wrench to remove the back bolt) and compared it to
the one that I was given at the Parts Store. From checking my 1974 AMC
Service manual the new one that I received appears to be like the one
indicated as California Only due to the appearance of the Pintle (opening at
the bottom of the EGR). The part has a washer cross reference to this part so
it appears it may be OK. Does anyone know if this will be an issue if I
installed this one? I would hope this would just mean less bad emissions, but
it could be more.
