Any tricks to carpet?

I got the carpet from Hoffman and I am going to get the "padding" from 
J.C. Whitney (as soon as I can figure which is the best to get. My 
question is installing the stuff. On the original it looks like the 
padding is glued to the carpet. Has anyone installed their carpet and 
how did you do it.  John, this might be a good article for The Brickline 
because of the two cars that I have had, both had shot carpet. Kim
