I am glad to hear that this issue isn't a big problem in practice since
finding a dryer small enough to fit this application isn't going to be
easy. Most dryers are designed for large applications. However, I
might add an oiler just to be on the safe side as an oiler not only
benefits the valves and pistons, but also improves the life of the
compressor.
