Being a mechanic, I feel qualified to comment on flex fans. I agree with Scott in that you MUST buy a quality fan, and inspect it regularly. I have only seen a couple of flex fans throw blades, but I have heard of many such occurances. On the other hand, they do perform substantially better than stock. Buy smart, be smart. Hope it helps.
