This requires a long explanation about SCCA history in its road racing
ranks which is where the "Bumping" concept began and which Solo 2 copied.
Racing abandoned the concept over 30 years ago. Solo dropped it some 20
years ago. However, the Pro Solo people continue to use it. And never mind
about the hue and cry of some folk east of the Mississippi who keep telling
us "We're not racing."
The goal, of course, is to have a full field of cars.
