Another problem you'll have is ambient noise/wind on the sound track.
I experimented some and ended up putting external mike to the rear trunk
next to back side. This way I get engine and exhaust sound instead of wind.
I used chip computer mike and since it was too sensitive I wrapped it around
in cloth multiple times until the sound recorded was not distorted.
