I don't think the brakes are that sensitive. I actually had one brake
leaking last year for a short time and the other three brakes worked fine.
Just one didn't. Besides I always have the emergency brake. If you look at
it that way than everybody's brakes, wheels, and tires are suspect and open
to failures and lawsuits.

dont you take the risk of losing all your brakes if there is one failure in
any of the lines? then you might end up being criminally responsible for
any accident. a guy in NZ got 4 years in prison cuz a wheel fell off his
modified car and killed a kid.
all of us that drive modified cars are exposed to this risk. even if you
take your car to a shop, and some kid takes it for a test drive and kills
himself, you could be criminally responsible.
