My history of R tires is that for the first two years I ran them,
they were all free -- or really cheap.  I found that lots of
folks had tires that had "heat cycled out", or they moved
to a new car, and would give them away or sell them for
a pittance.

Not sure if this would work for everyone, you have to have
a very common size.  But if R tires heat cycle out, a
just-post-novice will not be able to tell.  If you're not too
proud, beg on this list or by word of mouth, and perhaps
good things will come to you.

Thanks to everybody who had used R tires for me!

And don't ask me -- mine are always corded before I
let them go...
