Nobody SAID anything. I've been looking in my rule book to see what it says
but, so far, have come up empty. I say in that situation there are three
(3) options. Obviously going entirely on one side or the other of the three
cones is the quickest.
Waiting for somebody else to research the rule book. . .

PS: As relayed here before, from a safety standpoint, the unmarked area
where the so-called "optional slalom" is placed makes it very difficult for
course workers to be near enough to replace downed cones, yet far enough
away to be in a "safe" area.
