Group,

I have been looking at trailers and have a question on the different
suspensions available.

One is the leaf spring version and the other is a torque tube version.

I understand that the torque tube version works independently from each
other and I assume that gives a smoother ride. It also costs more.
Supposedly it also allows for a lower bed but I measured one trailer with
torque tube suspension @ ~ 18" and read the specs on a leaf spring version
which listed it at 19" ( bed height). I can't see that 1" is going to make
a big difference (I could see 4"+ ... lower center of gravity).

Any experiences out there with both?

I am looking at a couple of 7' x 14' enclosed trailers with a ramp door and
tandem axles w/brakes. My car (Stalker V6) is 64" wide and ~ 11' long.
