I like going all the way to Lincoln, then 34 east to 75, 75 South right
into
Topeka.
Traffic seems to move well, road surface is good, etc.

4-ish hours North Platte to Highway 75. Then 2 1/2 hours on 75 to Forbes
Field.
Also, Auburn NE (1 1/2 hours from Forbes F) will have the last good gas
before Topeka.
Finally Hall County in Nebraska, the Grand Island & Hastings area, is a
notorious speed trap. It's only place in the state you can get a ticket
for going 5 MPH over.
