IIRC, the E36 M3 is also excluded from STX, isn't it?
I know the question has been answered already, but I'd say BSP or SM for
this car.

That is correct. The E36 chassis' M3s are verboten in STX. However, the
E30 (you know, the little boxy ones) chassis' M3s are specifically allowed
in STX.
Neither car is legal for STS due to their LSDs. Any 3100cc and under BMW,
without a LSD, is allowed in STS.
With the mods that were originally listed, I'd say it's off to SM with this
particular car.
