Hi Jeffrey,

I'm sure you're going to get a lot of response to this and most of it
will contain the wise advise to stick with it and invest in yourself
before investing in the car -- i.e., seat time. That's well and good
and you're already on the right track with the clinic you participated
in, but I do have a couple of specific comments on your plan that might
not come up in other responses, so here goes....

Save your street tires for the street and get a set of cheap steel
wheels to mount some sticky rubber. It doesn't have to be expensive,
but it will make a difference in how you perceive the limits of
adhesion. Don't go half way with another set of street tires that
you're going to wear out anyway.

Don't jump into DSP until you're ready to spend more time and money on
your car. It will only drive you to distraction. Stay in a stock class
for your first season(s).

I'm not sure what the deal is with the spoiler and pedals (it's been a
few years since I've run in the states, so maybe there's a perceived
performance advantage, but I don't pretend to understand the Solo II
rules anymore). For purely aesthetic reasons, I would encourage you to
lose them.
