I'm no expert, and the folks in San Diego will certainly chime in, but I
recall seeing the "Qualcom Can" on a few cars when I was there a few years
back. They were simply deflecting the sound pressure toward the ground
right at the exhaust exit by attaching a modified "tin can". Looked like it
worked.
As far as 2 cycles, the snowmbile industry (that donated the F500 engine)
has quite an advanced pipe technology thank you. Might look a little goofy,
but the pieces are out there. Can't blame anyone for not wanting to go
through the trouble for one event though. Cheers.
