I may be mistaken on Progressive. I remember shopping for a new carrier,
looking at the supposedly inexpensive carriers (Geico and Progressive) a
year or so ago and remember reading that no competition was covered. I
could have sworn it was Progressive, but maybe not. Maybe it was Geico.

At least with Allstate, this document is not part of the normal policy I
receive that goes over the coverage I've purchased. Rather, they send me a
second document with policy limitations. I have no idea how Progressive
handles it.

This is similar to what I dealt with at Allstate. The reason they won't
specifically say "Yes or No," is that there are possible other factors
involved. If they say Yes, that means they may be held liable to pay even
if, say, someone else hits a pole and it in turn damages your car. This
would be the other driver's problem, not your insurance company's. BTW I
believe, for this type of accident the SCCA event insurance would cover your
vehicle and the light pole, but not the original drivers car. Correct me if
I'm wrong on that.

The best Allstate would say is that my policy is not limited in those type
of events. So if circumstances were correct I would be covered.
