As far as Solo2 being marketable on TV...the answer has to be yes. Has
anyone caught Import Auto Tour on Speedvision? Someone shoot me now...They
show a few tricked out cars, a couple of absolute shameless plugs for
Mothers car products, and a couple runs down the dragstrip, not to mention
the bikini contest. The only thing I think we lack as autocrossers at our
events is the wax sponsor and the bikini contest. Hey, we can even combine
the two...anyone interested?
But sponsorship is the key. What kind of wax do we use to keep our airdam
looking nice after a cone hits it at 65mph? Mothers! How do we keep our oil
clean? Fram!...ahem...Couple runs down the drag strip with our tow vehicles
to boot. What kind of tires do you run on your STS car? Toyo!..or whatever.
And they're happy, screaming tires! That's the way to work this. Thats how
Import Auto Tour does it. Keeps my bored mind watching at 9:30 on a Monday
night...
