Does anyone out there in mechanic land know what is the proper grease or lube
to use on a piston, when it is installed into a disc brake caliper . I am
puting together one that has the parking brake built in and we play hell
getting the piston to turn, trying to get it started on the threaded part of
the park brake mechanism. The car is a 86 Acura Legend that belongs to my broke
son (no $$$$$ to speak of)
Thanks in advance
Bill Schmidt
PS I have heard of 3 things: silicone grease, petroleum grease and some "paste"
designed for such applications?
