I've got the hots for that little Mini, but I'm worried it's going to carry
a serious premium for the first year or so, like the Miata did when it
debuted and like the M3/M5 do today. Only a limited number of BMW dealers
will carry it, and I've seen BMW dealers treating run-of-the-mill 3 and 5
series as if they were a hot commodity.
I can imagine a $25K Mini S going for $32K. Or would that be a $32K Mini S
going for $40K?
In the spirit of "what is a sports car," what is it that makes us passionate
about the "sporting" cars we like to auto-X? I've been a fan of RWD V8s for
quite some time, so why should this Mini get me all revved up? I don't
know, but it does. Also, when does the 2.0L Turbo version come out? Too
bad Subaru doesn't make it, then we could have the WRX Mini, then we'd be
really have somethin', wouldn't we?
