I just want to tell you about an unbelievable opportunity some of us here
in Texas have this weekend. We are having a __private__ Evolution
tutorial/tuneup day, provided at my request by Jean Kinser. There will
be seven of us, instructed on the finer points of autocross by the
amazing Dr. Erik Strelnieks (defending SS national champion). Several of
us in the Texas Region who will be attending Nationals and who have a
legitimate shot at trophy finishes along with myself and another who
won't be there but are serious about our performance, will have one extra
chance to improve and take an additional edge into battle in Topeka.
My purpose for this post is that Jean has mentioned this is the type of
situation she would like to develope in several locations around the
country for next year and maybe make these private "mini-schools" an
integral part of her program in the future. If you are green with envy
(as I would be if I were not involved) now is the time to contact Jean
about arranging a pre-nationals tuneup for yourself and an intimate group
of friends for next year. Remember, Evolution is one of this country's
most valuable natural resources, but there is a limited supply. There
will not be enough for everyone and when it is gone you will be out of
luck.
