OK. I just picked up a 2001 Z06 this past weekend. I have been planning on
going to Nationals, but now this talk about it not being "legal" surfaces.
I'm not worried too much about classification right now, but I'd still like
to participate in my first Nationals event. Can I at least participate,
even though I may not be eligible? I'd hate to miss out on my first
Nationals because of this. This is the first year that I've been able to
make plans to go and I've been looking forward to it all year.

I had no idea that new cars weren't permitted at Nationals. Looks like I
jumped the gun.

By the way, this car is not a new model. Since 1999 there have been three
models of Corvettes: a coupe, a convertible and a hardtop. So, the hardtop
model has been produced for two years. Admittedly, there weren't many
buyers for the hardtop. Why give up all that space without an increase in
performance? Now, the Z06 is a regular production option (RPO) that is only
available on the hardtop. Lastly, GM has decided that all hardtops will
include the ZO6 option.

See ya!
