I have Firestone tires on my Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton (2500).
they came with the truck (OEM). Ive got 50 K miles on these tires,
the tread is getting low, but Ive driven over everything on them
(tons of curbs, gravel, as well as towed with them for several thousands
of miles). They are M+S (I dont know if they are ATXs).
When the truck came from the dealer the tires had 35 psi in them,
the placard on the truck says 50-80 psi if your towing.
I think Bill oz. is right, people dont pay enough attention to their
tire
pressures. I do have to add air fairly frequently to the Firestones as
they seem to lose 2-3 psi in the course of about 6 week period.
